Imagine being a 5-year-old little girl, responsible for your house, yourself, and, inexplicably, your older brother. If he doesn’t make it to school on time, it’s your fault. If he does not come home from school with you, it’s your fault. But if you are the one left behind; that’s okay. Imagine that!

Imagine surviving your mother’s mental breakdowns, your father’s abandonment, and abuse and mistreatment at the hands of men throughout your entire life.

Now imagine that somehow, you find a way to take all that pain and turn it into purpose! Imagine growing strong enough to set healthy boundaries between yourself and your past. Boundaries of protection that give you room to become the best version of yourself and heal a lifetime of brokenness.

This is the story of Crystal Timberlake.
